Passsoul Community Projects – 22 Dragons 2014

Our students’ works

Twenty Two Dragons is the name of furniture upcycling workshops, based on the story from the book “Episodes From Dragons’ Lives” by Beata Krupska. In this book a couple of dragons dream about playing a football match with two full teams of dragons.

To fulfil this dream they need 22 dragons, which is impossible – there aren’t that many dragons in the whole world. This story is very close to our feelings before we started this course.

It seemed unrealistic to find enough people sharing our passion and teach them how to re-use and transform old wooden furniture. But we did it! Together with a group of people we created 22 pieces of upcycled furniture and decorative wall panels.

These workshops were funded by Affinity Sutton Housing Association and the final exhibition was open to the public in October 2014 in Passsoul Studio.

In 2015 we continued this project with visually impaired Newton-le-Willows residents.
